A George V walking stick with a Derbyshire Bluejohn spherical terminal, the silver 'crown' and integral, upper collar hallmarked for London, 1891, by Martin Hall & Company Ltd, the later lower silver collar with very rubbed hallmark, but possibly for London, 1923, with a horn-type ferrule, some damage, 90cm longProvenance:Part of a private collection, which includes a collection of swordsticks in the militaria sale (200123 - 070223).Condition:Bluejohn with a 1.5cm x 1.5cm 'bruise' on the base, where clearly been knocked. Bluejohn and 'crown' and integral collar possibly associated with the remainder of the waling stick. Lower collar very dented and scratched and with about 1cm of the lower edge torn/peeled back. Shaft with scratches, dents and chips consistent with age and use.Original holes present for user's cord.

EP worn in places, especially top. Picnic section a little loose and the malacca cane with a few vertical hairline cracks, where picnic section joins. Dents and scratches consistent with age and use.
