THE 6TH DAY (2000) - Adam Gibson's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) Helicopter Remote Control and a Roadrunners American Football HelmetAdam Gibson's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) helicopter remote control and a Roadrunners football helmet from Roger Spottiswoode's sci-fi action film The 6th Day. Charter pilot Gibson tested out his upgraded helicopter remote control after dropping off a group of snowboarders at the start of the film. In the foreshadowing opening sequence, American football quarterback Johnny Phoenix (Steve Bacic) suffered a near fatal injury, and despite being euthanised in the ambulance, he was later pronounced ready for the next week's game.This remote control comprises a plastic arm cover lined with foam padding; two metal-and-rubber clasps; two rubber-and-plastic control panels, one on either side of the arm frame, which have functioning buttons; and a controller stick which swivels and has a functioning red trigger. The clasps and side control panels are glued in place and no longer open as seen on screen. The black plastic football helmet features, Riddell® branding; a rose-tinted acrylic visor encased by a metal frame coated in yellow plastic; yellow Roadrunner decals; and leather-covered foam padding adhered to the interior with Velcro®. Also included is a grey crew fleece labelled size "L". The remote control exhibits damage from production use, including broken clasps, and the left control panel had previously snapped off. These have all since been repaired and glued in place, with remnants of glue visible. Mr. Freeze's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) henchmen wielded hockey sticks before Batman (George Clooney) and Robin (Chris O'Donnell) apprehended them and used the hockey sticks against Mr. Freeze. This hockey stick is made of silver-colour vinyl coated metal and resin and features a retractable metal blade; and a silver-colour painted dense foam spiked blade . When powered through the switch towards the butt end of the shaft, this hockey stick lights up in the shaft and the top end. This lot exhibits chipped paint, a missing spike on the blade, and peeling vinyl. Set of four Rococo decorated silver candlesticks (two very near identical pairs), all by the same maker, Henry Wilkinson & Co. However one pair is dated Sheffield 1836, the other pair Sheffield 1846. Gross weight 2116 grams, together with each detachable sconce, hallmarks on sconces match those on the sticks. Sticks hallmarked to side of the bases. Light composite loading, height 23cm / 9 inches.Good overall condition, though one has a small area which is worn through, and there is a dent to the top of one stick, when the sconce is removed. (4)
A Chinese 19th century black lacquer fan box, and a small painted stick fan, 9 x 36 x 9cm Cracking and chips to lacquer to all the corners. One corner with damage from potentially being dropped - see images. The inside with chips to the corners and some flakes at the hinges. The silk in the lid section is in good condition. The lower section the silk is ripped and fraying at the joins and sides. See images for further condition.
