A HIGHLY IMPORTANT WALKING SWORD STICK, the top engraved POW DOUGLAS B.W.CO 1942 RAF, RAF CREST No. 25151 DB and a band D. BADER DSO. 1942 DF, COLDITZ C. 1943. 35.5ins long. Provenance: Reputedly given to Fl. Lt. John Palmer as they both left COLDITZ, sold along with Palmers dog tag No. 50578 and key, a pencil sharpener AW Faber, Mentor, Germany and a whistle.

A military swagger stick of Maharajah Jagatjit Singh’s State Infantry^ with the head embossed with the double edged sword and chakram with two swords crossed at the centre^ inscribed below ‘Jagatjit Infantry Kapurthala’ Measures approx 30in. A superb relics of one the notable Sikh princely states in the Punjab.

A fine modern Chinese Erhu (two stringed bowed instrument) consisting of a long vertical stick like neck, with at the top two large tuning pegs, and at the bottom a small resonator body (sound box) which is covered with python skin on the front end, two strings attached from the pegs to the base, and a small loop of string (Qian Jin) placed around the neck, strings acting as a nut pull the strings toward the skin, holding a small wooden bridge in place, with a fitted box, length 88cm (illustrated)
