A large late 19th-century carved wood Black Forest Bear hall stand; modelled as a bear cub seated atop a tree trunk observed by the anxious mother bear below; the base with an integral umbrella/ stick stand fitted a pressed tin drip pan, on a heavily carved rocky base. The stand has the legend "HS 5091" carved below the removable drip pan. 89 cm wide x 204 cm overall height.
