An early 20th century makhila (Basque walking stick), the plaited leather handle unscrewing to reveal a forged metal spike, the medlar shaft above an engraved white metal band engraved "Ainciart Larressore" terminating in a trefoil weighted end, with horn pommel and white metal ferrule engraved "Helianthen Orhoitzapena, 1924", length 92cm.
Three rattles/teethers: a George III childs teether, with double tapering body, whistle at one end and coral at the other, marks worn/distorted, London 1805, an Edwardian embossed rattle with eight bells, dependant, an ivory teething ring and a coral stick at the other end by Crisford & Norris, Birmingham 1908, and a miniature Victorian gold rattle, with engraving, two bells and a coral teether, unmarked, the latter 1.4in (3.6cm) long.
