Built in October 1952 it was bought by Somerset council in December that year and sent to Brigade Headquarter at Taunton Fire Station. The bodywork and red paint, as well as glass and wheels/tyres (new), are said to be in excellent order. New red seats complement an interior the vendor says is excellent throughout. The engine is said to be very good for starting, running and for presentation and the running gear is vendor-assessed as very good. This Land Rover has a good history file including documentation from Somerset Heritage Archives and Taunton Fire Brigade, as well as a memory stick with some restoration photographs.
