A Blood Stone Signet Ring, Early 20th Century, 18ct gold, set with a centre blood stone oval, carved depicting a lion and the motto "Nil Desperandum", size M, and a continental 18ct gold stick pin, set with a button pearl, approximately 8mm diameter, 73mm overall, total gross weight 14.7gCondition Report - The overall condition of both pieces can be considered as good showing only light wear commensurate with age, the ring bears a full hallmark for 18ct gold, the centre bloodstone being crisply carved and showing no sign of significant chips or damage. The stickpin has a button pearl which is securely mounted with no obvious sign or repair or damage to the claws, overall a good honest lot.
A WALKER & HALL EDWARDIAN SILVER STANDISH the acanthus leaf edged, the stand bears heraldic crest, having pen tray, two cut glass inkwells flanking the central removable taper stick holder with chained snuffer, 34cm, Sheffield 1903m silver weight; 1007gCondition report: Wobbles on a flat surface, a few small dents to inner tray platform on which inkwells sit, a few scratches, very black, needs a good clean. Small bruise / chips to both glass wells, one silver cover is loose, the collar detaches from glass well, some splits to silver collar, rim of other cover, dented down a bit on it’s rim decoration. Chamber stick – the candle holder bit is loose, some small dents to the top of this holder, the bottom rim which fits into base is dented, the securing ring for chain where it attaches to handle is detached at one point of the ring.
