An early 19th Century Staffordshire pearlware figure of a shepherd with lamb across his shoulders by a tree stump, hollow base, 21 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Visually looks to be in good condition with the exception of the shepherd's stick with breakage to the base and top. However under UV light there are many areas of milkiness suggesting extensive restoration. See images for detail.
A 19th Century yew wood and elm Nottingham type stick back chair, 110 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Chair basically sound, though with some splitting along the grain to both the back rails and arm rails. Seat with signs of old insect damage and woodworm to the right-hand side - again old, not active. Rear right foot with some damage and loss, otherwise with wear and tear conducive with age and use. The right-hand spindle darker than the rest, though does not (we think) appear to be a replacement. See images for further details.
