A Bretby pottery stick stand, circa 1900, modelled as a brown bear with inset glass eyes standing beside a green glazed tree trunk, height 66cm.Condition report: Best described as heavily restored, the base has been rebuilt, hence the lack of any marks as are the feet of the bear and there are further repaired cracks to the main body, extra images on David Lay website.

A Victorian oak and brass mounted stick stand, attributed to Shoolbred. Height 102cm, width 56cm, depth 27cm.Condition report: There could perhaps have been a gallery to the top, the current oak panel may be a later addition.The galvanised liner has some corrosion to the corners, there is slight evidence of worm to the back left foot.Please see extra images on David Lay website.
An early 20th century Chinese bamboo and bone Mah Jong set comprising of one hundred and forty eight tablets, eighty seven stick counters, a pair of die, three mother of pearl and one ebony counter, contained in a hardwood box with brass carrying handles and corner brackets and two drawers. The front panel carved with text (Friend), 14.5cm h, 21.5cm w, 16cm d, Four stands and rule books.Condition: one stick counter has the tip missing, all are irregular shapes, overall in very used condition
A 19th century profusely carved oak stick stand, the central glove box with an open stick stand with drip tray, the opposite side has been later closed off with a carved panel section, the front support with carved flowers and scrolls, to tin drip tray base, on flat bun feet, height 97cm, length 76cm. CONDITION REPORT In well used, well worn condition commensurate with age and use.
