A Wehrmacht Close Combat Clasp in Silver. A very rare 1945 ‘Last Ditch’ production, the area behind the eagle and crossed bayonet and stick grenade being solid and not fretted-out as it normally is. However, still a superb quality example in excellent condition, and retaining most original factory finish, apart from a slight fading to the silver plating. Not maker marked. Tapered fluted pin, very good condition and an extremely rare example £400-£500

Tarnishing and residue of polish seen. Interchangeable inserts all with discolouration, nibbles and chips throughout. One insert is blank but has handwriting 'Beef' and 'lettuce and marmite' Crab example: Bend to the stick where hallmarks have been stamped. Three bead coral stick pin appears that corals may have been re-stuck at some point. Pin is mishappen. Corals are discoloured/faded. Single coral stick pin in good condition, with minor discolouration to the coral

Generally good condition. Post 1936 versions of this badge had the letter F removed from the centre of the badge according to the book “Mosley’s Men in Black” by John Millican
