A Wolrd War II tin trunk, inscribed Hon T S Fermor-Hesketh Scots Guards, 95cm, containing the almost complete World War II wardrobe for the Hon F Fermor Hesketh (later 2nd Lord Hesketh), a Guards officer, see additional image for complete list of items, includes: grey heavy weight greatcoat, heavy worsted officer's tunic jackets, one dated 1939, the other 1940 and a lightweight one dated 1941, five pairs of trousers, all tailored for Hesketh by Jarvis & Hamilton, three other pairs of trousers, two pairs of breeches, three pairs of shorts, nine collared shirts varying weights, two collarless shirts, a woollen belt, military webbing belt, pair of puttees, fifteen ties in military khaki, socks, gloves, a cash tin containing buttons and studs, a shooting stick and officers baton. Provenance: Sothebys Easton Neston saleCondition report: These measure approximatelyn 41cm across from shoulder to shoulder. The waists look to be around 32". The condition is varied, so some pieces are complete, but many are stained and worn with holes. They have been stored in a trunk for a long time, so smell of moth balls.
