A Ferguson farm tractor believed to be a TEA-20 having a straight petrol fueled engine. This tractor had been in dry storage but had not been running for approx. 20 years. The engine was a little stuck but is now freed-off and with some flushing of the fuel tank, cleaning of the points and freeing-off of the governor linkages she now runs and is mechanically very quiet indeed, the clutch was not stuck and she now drives and the P.T.O. & hydraulics appear to operate normally. Three tyres are now inflated but the tractor would benefit from a tyre-change as perishing is evident and one front tyre will not hold air. The instruments are unfortunately distressed and we do not have a log-book or a V5C. The axle casting is No: 29-12-0 and accordingly is believed to have been cast on the 29th December 1950 thus the tractor is likely to have come off the production line in 1951, some 70 years ago. The engine serial number is S101332E and accordingly ought to be an engine produced by Standard with 85 mm. diameter bores and with a 6 volt electrical system, however a 12 volt conversion appears to have been carried out. Other age distinguishing factors are that the tractor has a three-piece grill, the steering housing is cast integral with the gearbox cover, which has the bolted on type of gear-stick, the air intake does not pass through the dashboard and two "T" handles latch the bonnet closed. All in all a lovely little tractor which should be capable of a good day's work and with quite solid tin-work providing an ideal and rewarding winter project in preparation for next year's road runs, perhaps for competition ploughing or simply to add to a collection.**NB** Buyer's Premium on this lot will be 10% plus VAT (total premium 12%) plus 6% on-line premium if so purchased to make a total premium payable of 18%.
