A seventeenth century provincial ash stick back country chair, height 95 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Doesn't quite sit level on all four feet. Aged, natural splits to the seat. Seat with good patina. Historic worm to underside of seat. In my opinion the U-shaped section of wood (which appears to be oak) to the underside of the seat is an 18th century addition, presumably to strengthen the seat. The legs do appear to be original, however.
