A Outrance, To The Death, Oak Tree Fine Press, 2009, wood engraved illustrations and decorations by Andy English, Chris Daunt and Harry Brockway, text printed in red and black, on handmade Ruscombe Mills paper, leaf with wood engraved portrait of Philip Pullman, and 8 lines of text from the story handwritten in pencil by the author Philip Pullman himself, signed and dated 2009 to lower margin, with extra suite of 6 wood engravings, each numbered 1/60, and signed by Philip Pullman and the artist, contained in separate red cloth portfolio with tie, untrimmed, original designer binding by Monique Lallier, being a full brown morocco with bear claw rilievo motif to covers, and numerous small pieces of marbled paper onlay, 33 x 25.5 cm (13 x 10 ins), loosely contained in original purpose-made fleece-lined cloth slipcase, with label to spine, folio One of 15 specially presented copies in unique bindings, this copy named 'Bear Claw' from a total edition of 315. Elephant, Bear, & Red Deer, 3 original watercolours with pen & black ink, each signed lower right, and titled in ink capitals lower right, image size 175 x 270 mm (6.9 x 10.6 ins), or similar, later wood frames, glazed, one with original watercolour design for a title page by the artist, Round the World with a Rifle, one with Langton Gallery label to verso Three original watercolours for a book which was never published. According to a handwritten note to reverse of one of the frames, these three works were part of a group of nineteen originals sold at Bonhams, London, circa 1984, although the Langton Gallery exhibition label is dated 5-22 December 1978. Four early to mid-20th century golden/blonde teddy bears, one with jointed limbs and stuffed straw body, glass eyes and stitched on nose and mouth and hunched back, also a contemporary black and white cat and a later golden teddy bear with glass eyes, plastic nose, stitched on mouth and velvet pads, the longest approx 71cm (some af) (6). CONDITION REPORT: All toys worn to varying conditions with some missing limbs, some splits particularly around limb joints, wear to pads, loss to fur, etc.

An early to mid-20th century straw filled teddy bear with stitched on mouth and glass eyes, length 46cm (distressed), a pair of later teddy bears and a polar bear, also three 'cut-out' maps by Phillip & Tracey Ltd comprising Europe (a few parts missing), Scotland and Wales (7). CONDITION REPORT: One of the bears heavily worn having lost most of the mohair, loose limbs, particularly right leg, frayed and exposed stitching. The bear/sheep also quite extensively worn, with particular loss to facial features and pads. The two remaining bears ok with only minor wear. They all smell a little musky but inoffensive.
