A set of three painted and metal mounted Colonial Indian chests, first half 19th century, each with a hinged lid, side carrying handles, painted with floral motifs throughout, 24cm high, 63cm wide, 32cm deep, 31cm high, 73cm wide, 39cm deep, and 41cm high, 87cm wide, 46cm deep respectively Please note: The trunks are probably exported from China. EN SUITE TO THE ABOVE: A mid 18th century Swiss salver of shaped rectangular outline with rounded ends, and a moulded border, engraved in the centre with a coat of arms below a coronet*, the reverse initialled "I.F.M.C.", by Jean Redard, Neuchatel c.1740; 15.7" (39.7 cms) long; 34 oz *These two pieces bear the same armorial.
An early 20th century brown/cinnamon plush teddy bear with pointed nose, black boot-button eyes, right ear missing but left ear cut and set on corner of wide head (possibly Seiff)-lacking button but hole in ear where a button could have been. The bear is stuffed with hard wooden chippings and has articulated limbs, height 28cm (illustrated)
