A large Steiff teddy bear, circa 1925-35, with hump back and long snout, with 8mm button, approx 65cm long. Condition Report: There is overall fading and wear and tear to the mohair in places - (eg snout, ears, arms, fingers and toes). All pads are worn, three have holes. He has odd eyes! The button is dark metal with STEIFF in raised letters, the last F having a tail.

Norfolk (Great Witchingham) - 1766 EL Cyril Wyche Ely to Hockwold. Two ELs sent 'Out of Main' with sheet of extra information. Fine condition. Miscellaneous: Letters sent out of mails. Cyril Wyche of Hockwold was very careful to endorse all the letters he received with the charge and date of receipt. Many of these bearing an additional charge of one penny for delivery from the post town, Brandon, to his house at Hockwold. Part of his correspondence from his relatives had survived date from 1754 to 1767. A small proportion bear town marks, usually the two line Harling or Thetford town mark (used in 1754 and between 1766-67), and others are endorsed with the charge levied. The greater number did not pass through the mails but must have been carried privately, these include letters from his niece at Chevington or from Ely. 15 October 1766 and 24 December 1766, letters from niece Sarah Waddington carried out of the mails and endorsed 'recd rod Dir'. The letters are of interest making reference to inoculation for small pox 'last Friday was a sevennight was inoculated that day and was very well till last Friday and then had a little headache and the smallpox came out of the Sunday have had but few not above five or six and had an incision upon each are which was very sore.. the little ones came last Friday and was Inoculated from me ..' The second letter records that the children had been inoculated successfully.

A collection of 57 Rupert Annuals, Daily Express, 1936-2000, a broken run, all copiously illustrated, original boards/wrappers, together with a quantity of other items related, including various duplicates and facsimiles, including collectors' editions, ten volumes Little Bear Library, twelve issues Rupert and Friends, 1990-1992, Rupert Diary 1993, one or two puzzle and colouring books, Paul McCartney's Rupert and the Frog Song vhs tape in cardboard case, four badges, and a sliding tile puzzle, mostly in good condition, but some rubbing and wear to the earlier annuals, 4to/8vo (approx. 116)

Harvey, July 11th, 1804, vignette title-page, and thirty engravings on letterpress, some light spotting and toning, two facing pages with some juvenile colouring, disbound and loosely inserted into later marbled wrappers, 12 x 8cm (4.75 x 3ins), together with Hack (Maria), Winter Evenings; or, Tales of Travellers, 4 volumes, 3rd edition, printed for Harvey and Darton, 1823, engraved frontispiece to each (that to first volume slightly frayed to fore-edge, just clipping head-line), some spotting and toning, D5 in volume 3 with lower corner torn away (with loss of a few letters), contemporary ownership name on front free endpapers, volumes 1 and 4 lacking rear free endpaper, original red roan-backed marbled boards gilt, extremities rubbed, spines faded and with some minor loss at ends, 12mo in 6s, housed together in a modern card slipcase, plus [Strickland, Agnes], The Moss-House: in which many of the Works of Nature are Rendered a Source of Amusement to Children, 1st edition, William Darton, 1822, six engraved plates, including frontispiece, lightly offset to text, front hinge splitting, early manuscript name on front free endpaper, blue sprinkled edges, original roan-backed marbled boards, extremities a little rubbed in places, 12mo in 6s, plus other antiquarian children's books similar Provenance: from the library of a descendant of the publisher William Darton. Darton G1074(3): the first edition of 'Youthful Sports' was published in 1801, and all editions are rare. It contains descriptions of such games as: Battledore and Shuttlecock; Quoits; Blindman's Buff; Flying the Kite; Bow and Arrow; Stilts; Marbles, Peg Top; Trap Ball; Air Balloons, Dressing Dolls; Bird Nesting; Whip Top; and Badger the Bull, or Bait the Bear. Milne (A.A.). When We Were Very Young, 1st edition, 2nd issue, 1924, contents leaf numbered ix, illustrations by E.H. Shepard, free endpapers partially toned, top edges gilt, original blue cloth gilt, one or two faint marks and spine ends a trifle rubbed, but generally a bright copy, in later issue dustjacket (advertising Winnie-the-Pooh, 9th edition Fourteen Songs, Teddy Bear and Other Songs, and 2nd edition King's Breakfast, all published 1926), some chipping and fraying to top edge, spine darkened and with 2" facsimile repair at foot, 8vo (1)
Toomath, an Australian landscape with kangaroo and gum trees, on bark, bears an Aboriginal Traditional Arts label, 20.5 x 31 cm, and three others similar (all unframed) (4) Condition report Report by GH Both of the larger pictures have Toomath written in pen on the back and both bear the Aboriginal Traditional Arts labels. The fronts of the two pictures do not appear to be signed. The smaller picture with the two kangaroos is stamped Artist Bardoo to the back and has the Aboriginal Traditional Arts label, it also does not appear to be signed on the front. The last picture is stamped Artist Tarwonga and also bears the Aboriginal Traditional Arts label and also does not appear to be signed to the front. All four are protected by cellophane, condition generally good with some small pieces of loose bark but generally the images are very clear and present well.
