CIRCA 1925 PETER BEAR FROM THE SUSSENGUTH COMPANY OF BAVARIA. A most unusual brown-tipped mohair teddy bear designed using traditional doll making techniques. Peter Bear`s head is covered in mohair and made of a pressed material while his body is made from mohair and is stuffed in a more traditional fashion. The bear itself is 5-ways jointed with brown felt paw pads. The face is detailed with moveable glass eyes in deep eye sockets, a black composite nose, and a very mean looking open mouth which is highly authentic looking with teeth and a tongue. This bear was rather unpopular at the time and sold poorly as the design scared children. This pattern was also produced in apricot, gray, and pink mohair. Today, this bear is highly desirable amongst collectors interested in rarities such as this. Peter retains his original silver rimmed named chest tag. SIZE: Overall 13"" t (33cm). VERY RARE AND UNUSUAL NICKLE NACKLE TEDDY BEAR FROM THE RUDOLPH HAAS COMPANY. Seldom seen on the secondary market German made mechanical bear. Turns head from left to right when right arm is moved, also nods when left arm is moved. This mechanism was patented by the Haas Company in the late 1920s. Teddy is made from brown tipped mohair and is 5-ways jointed with peach orange colored felt paw pads. Hard stuffed with excelsior. Face is detailed with glass pupil eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. No claw stitching. SIZE: Overall 15"" t (38cm). Sitting 10"" t (26cm). This feature required the arms to be placed on a slightly different place on the bear`s torso than traditional teddy bears. Teddy is made from blond mohair with felt paw pads. His face is detailed with black shoebutton eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Bear retains his trailing ""F"" button and traces of his white ear tag. He has smaller hands and bent wrists, large flat feet, and chubby proportions. Ted has felt pads with five black hand-embroidered claws on each paw; several are missing on right foot. His distinctive face is detailed with oversized black glass pupil eyes (with the brown back painting flaking off), a shaved muzzle, and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Bear has typical Jopi features including very long narrow feet, tiny hand pads and short closed claw embroidery. Face is detailed with oversized brown and black pupil eyes and a very small black hand-embroidered mouth. Bear has working press and release music box in its belly. This bear is very representative of teddy bear designs of the 1920s, which had a very distinctive wide eyed, feminine, and endearing appearance. Teddy`s face is detailed with dark shoebutton eyes and a dark hand-embroidered nose and mouth. EARLY MERRYTHOUGHT CHEEKY BEAR. Circa 1960. An early tan rayon plush Merrythought Cheeky bear with bells sewn into his large ears. Bear is 5-ways jointed with brown felt paw pads with five black claws on each. Cheeky`s face is detailed with black and brown eyes, an inset golden velveteen muzzle, and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. This design got its name in 1956 because of the bear`s playful and delightful wide smile. The label is sewn onto the right foot pad and reads ""MERRYTHOUGHT IRONBRIDGE SHROPS. It later grew to become the largest commercial cargo fleet of the early 20th century. Of the several vessels to bear the name Clan Sinclair, this ship built in 1907 was scrapped in 1933.

Each ivory ground piece enclosed by an alternating border of flowering trees and the coat of arms for various cities in Russia, enclosed by a pendant beaded and a pair of reciprocal bands, finished with a gilt rim, comprising three cups and saucers, two plates {diameter 9 1/2 inches (24 cm)}, and a bowl {diameter 6 inches (15.2 cm)} (9), each piece marked with Kornilow Brothers/Made in Russia with bear factory mark.

Spoons do not bear the emblem/inscription. Some spoons are initialled with letter "M" and one is indistinctly initialled "JWC?". Forks do not bear initials. All items with wear and scuffs, some dents and mis-shaping to tines, a few knocks and dents generally.
