Streater, for Henry Twiford, George Sawbridge, Thomas Dring, and John Place, 1657.⁂ Largely taken from Stow's Survey. The view by Hollar shows The Globe theatre next to the Bear Garden.

18th Century Holy Water Font below a Crucifix. 170 g. French, Paris marks for 1690An rare late 17th Century Crucifix with Holy water font. Some crucifixes bear a skull and crossbones shown below the corpus, referring to Golgotha (Calvary), the site at which Jesus was crucified, which the Gospels say means in Hebrew "the place of the skull." Height 16.5 cmsCondition report: Good condition. Hinge on font lid sound. No real issues though hook on reverse missing. Hallmarks on reverse crisp and clear.
