Philip Lindsey Clark, A small bronze of a kneeling child, Michael Clark, holding a teddy bear, set on a rectangular marble column and a square base, initialled and dated PLC 1924, 22.5cm (8.75") high. Philip Lindsey Clark was son of the sculptor Robert Lindsey Clark. He studied at Cheltenham 1905-1910 and City and Guilds Knightsbridge 1910-1914. He served in World War I firstly with the 28th London Regiment and later the Royal Sussex Regiment, he was awarded the DSO. He completed his studies after the war at the RA and won commissions for war memorials including the Cameronian Memorial, Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow and the Southwark War Memorial (1922)
