Lot 1018

These were issued to poat-war German Army and Police units and were either reworked military weapons or newly assembled from unused parts. Dated 1920 on chamber. They can have a mix of military and Nitro-proof stamps. New manufacture weapons bear only Nitro proof. All newly manufactured Model 1920's have DWM toggle link marking. It is opined that the single date 1920 or 1921 guns were only reworked or manufactured at DWM, and double dates were reworked at the Erfurt Arsenal. This pistol bears all matching numbers including the aluminum bottom magazine with military proof mark. Bottom of barrel bears only the Nitro proof mark, as does left side of frame and toggle, which would indicate new manufacture. Police unit marking is stamped out on frame "S.L.Rol." it is also stamped "S.P.L." at inside bottom grip strap. It is a scarce variation that retains 95% of the blue finish with muzzle wear, high edge rail wear, and sideplate bump. Checkered walnut grips are not numbered and in excellent condition. These pistols were the only ones allowed by law for civil service after the signing of the Versailles Treaty. Serial Number-84011; Manufacturer-Luger; Model-Semi Auto; Caliber-9mm Luger; Barrel Length-4"; FFL Status-Curio & Relic;

Lot 1029

Manufactured at the Royal Arsenal in Erfurt, Germany for the German Armed Forces who began producing Lugers in 1910. The chamber is dated 1915. Toggle is stamped "Erfurt" with crown. Has all matching numbers including aluminum bottom magazine. Erfurt Lugers usually bear inspectors proofs on nearly every partof weapon including the grip screws, which this has. The inside grip panels have the Imperial eagle proof mark; this same mark can be found on almost every small part of this gun. This was basically the standard issue Luger used during the first World War. Has the brilliant straw colored small parts. Pistol has seen little use with light edge edge wear, muzzle wear and light wear on hump of sideplate. Still retains 97%. Near mint grips. Fine action and mint bore. An incredible survivor of the first World War period that usually appear in rough condition. This example has seem very little use. Serial Number-1762; Manufacturer-Luger; Model-1914; Caliber-9mm Luger; Barrel Length-4"; FFL Status-Curio & Relic;

Lot 104

Helmet with brass plate with Mercury face. Crest with loose faux black bear. Two lion retainers with brass scale chinstraps. No lining. Scratches and small dents.

Lot 1079

The K date is a highly sought after Luger variation. Manufactured by Mauser for the German military. The K date was the first Luger to bear a letter code indicating the year of manufacture and was devised to conceal the extent of German rearmament. K dates are marked with an "S" in script and gothic fonts. The pistols in this serial range bear both script and gothic "S" markings on parts. The inside panel of both grips is stamped with a gothic "S". Gothic "S" on takedown lever, trigger guard, twice on toggle, top and side extractor, right side of trigger and magazine release, and right side of frame with three Imperial German stamps. Script "S" on sideplate, toggle with 42. chamber is stamped "K". Imperial German stamp on right side of barrel. Pistol has lovely straw colors and retains about 75% dulling blue turning patina on strap and trigger guard. Steel magazine with aluminum bottom not stamped. Fine bore and perfect action. These were being produced at time when the German Brown Shirts were taking over the country, and thus had to survive over 11 years of heavy usage. Serial Number-3243; Manufacturer-Luger; Model-Semi Auto; Caliber-9mm Luger; Barrel Length-4"; FFL Status-Curio & Relic;

Lot 1097

This is referred to as the 1936-1945 Dated Model. The four-digit date marking was introduced in the very early days of 1936. The first Krieghoff to bear a full manufacture date. These were made for the Luftwaffe German Air Force. Early models feature the salt blue commercial type finish. Has all matching numbers including the aluminum bottom magazine. The Imperial German stamp can be found under the barrel, along with '881' on left side of toggle; four times on right side of frame with '2'; right side of barrel; and right side with the grips off you can see the Imperial eagle '2' on both safety and sear. Top of chamber has the full date 1936. Top of toggle is stamped "HK Krieghoff Suhl" with anchor. Beautiful straw colors. This pistol has seen very little use, showing high edge muzzle wear, rail and sideplate hump. Still retains virtually all the original blue on grip straps. Has the original molded brown coarse checkered grips. Near mint bore and action. Very desirable Luger given low production numbers, field of service and high all original matching finish and condition. Serial Number-5330; Manufacturer-Luger; Model-P.08; Caliber-9mm; Barrel Length-4"; FFL Status-Curio & Relic;

Lot 1101

These were manufactured for military contract sales to Iran, who purchased 1,000 examples in 1936 and 1,000 more in 1942, most of which are still in that country's arsenal. According to my conversation with noted Luger authority Bob Simpson, Mauser made 50 Cutaways for the Persian government. This example has the Farsi mark with "1" on all parts and all matching. The inside grip frame is stamped "SO31" which would indicate the 31 pistol of the 50 total. Has all proper straw color and fire blue small parts. Left grip panel is stamped with the Gothic "S", right panel not numbered. Does not bear Oberndorf proof marks. The Persian crest is not present above chamber as it is cut out. Pistol does not come with magazine. Typical Mauser and a nearly identical example of the different cutaway sections can be seen on page 379 in the book "Lugers at Random" by Kenyon. The pistol remains in nearly a new condition with nearly all of the original finish. Must be considered one of the finest examples of its type extant. The only noticeable wear is on a couple of the high edges of rail. A nearly impossible to find Luger, and is improbable that a finer example exists. Serial Number-31; Manufacturer-Persian; Model-Luger; Caliber-9mm; Barrel Length-4"; FFL Status-Curio & Relic;
