A TUBELOCK HARPOON GUN OR SHIP TO SHORE LINE THROWER, the two part barrel and body extending to 114.5inches, the rear half leather wrapped and with brass trigger guard, the lock stamped with the serial no. 7 and further stamped with the initials E.B. This unusual item has the construction and feel of a military or naval piece though may have been for commercial use. It has also been suggested that it may have been a net thrower, however it does bear striking similarities to Hale's Rocket Launcher For Sea Service.
