A GERMAN MEISSEN PORCELAIN POLAR BEAR, MODELLED BY OTTO JARL, MEISSEN, EARLY 20TH CENTURY the polar bear is poised in walking position, with his shaggy white fur, he looks off to the right with his black nose and mouth slightly open, marked with factory mark in blue underglaze under the chest; dimensions: 26 x 47 cm (10 1/4 x 18 1/2 in.) CONDITION In age-appropriate condition. Scattered brown spots visible on his shaggy coat, most notably on his front left shoulder. Discoloration around the firing holes on the underside of the polar bear. Inspection under UV shows no apparent signs of restoration or repairs. N.B.
