(29cm.) high (almost completely bald and pads covered); and Huntley, a German Teddy Bear with blonde mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced muzzle, remains of black stitching, slotted in ears, swivel head, elongated body, jointed limbs, hump and inoperative growler, circa 1910 —12 1/2in. (32cm.) high (wear and balding, pads covered); a brown jersey WWI hospital uniform with red trim, the jacket with two pockets, mother of pearl buttons and three medal ribbons and the trousers with braces; a pair of blue and white striped pyjamas, the jacket with pocket containing a cardboard disc, two medal ribbons, a medal on ribbon and another ribbon and mother of pearl buttons; another smaller pair of pyjamas bottoms, two white linen shoulder bags, one with a G and the other with a P on the back, originally these two pads contained dried vegetation (now kept in plastic bags), two brown cloth Sam Browne belts, a pair black wool cloth Puttees, three bandages, a few ribbons and two buckles - No.808 and 809 purchased from M Brickwall Auctions 4th August 2001, a note written by Susan states ‘the childhood toys of an old gentleman called Mr Carmichael who lived in Ross-on-Wye Herefordshire. When he died these bears were discovered together in his attic and were put into a local auction.
