A collection of 8 cabinet cards of Native American Indians, 2 photographs by H Pollard and a framed triptych coloured photograph of Indian Chiefs and glass negatives. 4 are on unmarked gilt edged boards 164mm by106mm inscribed in pen with ?San Carlos squaws?, ?Yuma Virgin?, ?A White Mountain Apache?, and ?San Carlos?. They are in good condition with minor blemishes consistent with age. One is slightly faded. 4 cabinet cards are gilt edged by Bushong 164mm by 108mm inscribed verso; ?Jontoe Squaws?, ?Indian Collection Dr Straub U.S.A?, ?Mojave squaws. Apache? and ?Drawing Rations at San Carlos Indian Agency Apaches? and further identifies 6 tribes and has inscription within the negative. Three are in good overall condition with minor blemishes and discolouration consistent with age; one has possibly tape residue to the top and bottom of the front. 2 photographs are of mounted chiefs taken at a camp, with impress marks: ?H. POLLARD, CALGARY?. They are attached to basic mounting boards, with no margin and the backs retain glue residue consistent with having been removed from frames at a previous date. The triptych consists of three coloured photographs inscribed ?Chief Wolf Robe, Cheyenne?, ?Chief Hollow????? Bear S????. No.1169? and ?Chief Goes to War (SIOUX). No.76?. The last two are additionally inscribed: ?Copyright 1898, G. Rinehart, Omaha?. The first 2 have extensive surface scuffing, the last has some minor scuffing, but is in otherwise good condition. A collection of 8 glass negatives, 164mm by 120mm, each in its tissue envelope. They depict mountain scenes, possibly taken during prospecting (19) £500-700
A late 19th century Black Forest carved wood bear jardiniere stand, on four scroll feet, 104.5 cm high See illustration Condition report Report by RB The top plateau has probably been re-attached at some point, as there is a very large sunked screw to the middle, the bear is generally good, but with splits and cracks as one would expect. On the base it has been attacked as usual by the vacuum cleaner, with various knocks and scraps, with a couple of the scroll feet having been glued and repaired. Overall a good colour, not a modern copy reproduction.

Leopold and Vincent with working growlers. Do not smell of smoke.
