Circle of Samuel (Sam) Bough R.S.A. (19th century) Winter Landscape with a Figure on a Lane, a church amongst trees in the distance Oil on board, 22cm by 17.5cm The picture does bear a Sam Bough signature which is hidden under the frame. Stylistically resembles the artist Richard William Halfnight (1855-1925), a Sunderland landscape painter working in London, exhibiting landscapes and Thames views at the Royal Academy 1884-1889, Suffolk Street and the New Watercolour Society. He later moved to Newcastle.
