1989 Mercedes-Benz 300 SE Transmission: automaticMileage:67584The Mercedes-Benz W126 is a series of saloon vehicles manufactured from September 1979 as the successor to the earlier W116 line, the W126 being the second generation of the Mercedes-Benz flagship to officially bear the S-Class name referring to Sonderklasse or ‘special class’. The W126 was initially offered in straight six, V8, and turbo diesel saloon models. Compared to its predecessor, the W126 was more aerodynamic, fuel efficient, capacious, and more powerfully engined. The W126 range also introduced many Mercedes-Benz safety innovations including the first airbag (supplemental restraint systems), seatbelt pre-tensioners, and traction control. The W126 had a twelve-year production run between 1979 and 1991, the longest of any S-Class generation since the flagship models were first built in the mid-1950’s.This delightful Mercedes-Benz was originally registered on 13th January 1989 and has covered 67,584 miles in its 32 years on British roads. The light blue coachwork is in very good order and the contrasting dark blue velour interior virtually unmarked. Clearly a very well cared for example, this 300 SE comes from the era when Mercedes-Benz were building cars that would seemingly last forever. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 1st February 2022, with only three previous keepers these W126 models are becoming increasingly rare-particularly in this condition.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1990 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL Transmission: automaticMileage:132449The Mercedes-Benz W126 model was the successor to the earlier W116 line and the second generation of the Mercedes-Benz flagship to officially bear the S-Class name meaning Sonderklasse or 'special class'. The model range also introduced many Mercedes-Benz safety innovations, including the first airbag (supplemental restraint systems), seatbelt pre-tensioners and traction control. Six years of development resulted in the W126 model being introduced at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt in September 1979, with design work on the coupé beginning immediately after. Compared to its predecessor, the new model had a sleeker, lower profile look with more aerodynamic qualities than previous models. All were immensely safe and capable machines that were designed to barrel along the fast lane of the German autobahns all day long without a murmur of protest from car or driver. The flagship Mercedes luxury saloon powered by a smooth eight-cylinder 300bhp engine which gave it a top speed of 150mph and achieving 60 in 7. 5 seconds.Supplied new by the diplomatic sales division of Mercedes-Benz in Piccadilly, London on 12th February 1990, this highly specified 560 long wheel base S- class is presented in metallic blue with full blue leather trim. The vendor has owned and enjoyed the car for over a decade and describes it as luxurious car with great suspension that irons out every bump on the road. This very well spec’d example has the desirable and comfortable electric rear seats. It has taken part in many at Mercedes enthusiast events over the last 5-6 years. Offered with the original stamped service booklet with 15 main dealer stamps from new and 25 stamps in all, the most recent was in 2019 with very few miles covered since. It is supplied with various MoT test certificates, invoices and receipts from previous maintenance and the original owner’s manual. With a strong increase in value, this car is a testament to a bygone era of real luxury Mercedes-Benz, equally at home chauffeuring diplomats as it would, charging across the continent!Guide Price £10,000 - £15,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale.
