GWR brass cabside numberplate 111 ex Churchward 4-6-2 Pacific THE GREAT BEAR. Built at Swindon in 1908 as the first and only GWR Pacific, it was rebuilt as a Castle Class locomotive in 1924 and renamed VISCOUNT CHURCHILL. Shedded at 81A Old Oak Common and 83D Laira from where it was withdrawn in 1953. Scrapped later the same year at Swindon Works. Face restored with boiler and engine details stamped in the rim. A truly historic cabside.
A collection of fourteen Wedgwood glass animals, to include: Polar bear, badger, squirrel, owl, snail and other wildlife. Condition Report: Overall condition good for most pieces. All have scratches to underside consistent with age.One small elephant has missing piece to end of trunk (see image).

†The Golden Compass (2007) Archive of 14 made/filmed Digital HD Film Cassette Tapes and 2 reference video cassettes from the production of the epic 2007 movie starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. The 50/40 minute Digital HD Cassettes are individually referenced with some featuring larger descriptive labels titled such as: 'Daemon Tests/VFX Genesis', '2nd Unit VFX Shoot (Polar Bear)' and others. Many of the Cassette Cases feature internal production paperwork. These films would have been shot by the Visual Effects department in rehearsal and preparation for final filming. The 2 Video Cassettes feature actual wildlife documentaries, referenced for creation of the Daemons. A GURKHA RELATED (Lt Col ROE) PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM. Including many of Military Historical interest. The 4th Gurkha Rifles leaving for France in August and December 1914. 1917 Kashmir, Camp Barham, Bakloh, etc. Waziristan 1919-20, Bear Hunting, Dhar and Jamdola. Machine Guns in Action Sarwekai Jan 1921, Gurkha Officers at Chagmalai Camp Spring 1921. Put together by Lt Col C D Roe, consisting of his life in India including warfare and sport (polo etc). Most photographs are notated by himself, bringing the days of Empire to life. Both during and between the W Wars, forts and vehicles, family etc. Over 130 original photographs are in the album, with (3) glazed related photographs, etc.
THREE R SIMKIN WATERCOLOURS. A framed 'Stretcher Bearers R A M C, with wounded, Service Dress. Depicting three soldiers of the RAMC, and a casualty being carried from the battlefield. A 4.3/8" x 4.1/4" painting size, the glazed frame of 11.1/4" x 10.3/4" in size. A framed watercolour of a 4th Q O Hussars officer in mounted review order, leaving the barracks with a sentry on quarter guard. A framed watercolour of a mounted P A O 11th Hussars officer, mounted in full dress order. 12.1/2" x 16" frame size, the painting 9.1/2" x 13" approx. The first two bear clear signatures, the second dated '75. The third signature is very faded and hard to visually make out.
AN ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS DIRK. A high quality 19thC A & Sutherland Highlanders officers dirk , with silvered mounts and etched blade. The ornate mounts to the scabbard throat and knife and fork fittings, bear the Boars Head and Sans Peur, Ne Oblivis Caris. Dark brown leather on the scabbard, with both knife and fork present, the latter lacking its spring clip. The blade of exceptional etching details, Crowns surmounting the Boars Head on one side, Sans Peur below the Wild Cat. Of some 12" length with dual fullers, being exceptionally clean with very little staining present. See Illustration
