λ‡ By Stuart Devlin, a rare modern parcel-gilt silver musical box, London 1975, rectangular form, the hinged cover with textured decoration, the sides with an applied band of figures holding handles, the underside with a rosewood base and with a winder, the cover opens to reveal a glass covered Swiss musical movement, marked Reuge, Sainte-Croix, length 18.5cm. Provenance: A Private Collection. George Kidner, Lymington, 13 January 2005, the vendor in this sale commissioned the box from Stuart Devlin in 1975. Due to the rosewood this lot is sold with a Cites Article 10 Certificate, number 607387/01.
