A Chinese export silver snuff box, unmarked, 19th century,of rectangular form, the cover and base with raised scenes of warriors, with foliate borders, gilt interior, 6.75 x 4.5cm CONDITION REPORT: Detail is rubbed on all sides. Holes to prominent areas on cover and base. Scratches to interior. Interior rim is bent with a section missing. Additional images available on request.
A Victorian silver box, by Carrington & Co., London 1898, of half fluted, compressed oval form, with a band of flower heads to the cover, inscribed `Derby, Flying Fox, 1899`, 13cm wide, 7oz Flying Fox was a thoroughbred racehorse owned by the Duke of Westminster. He was sired by Orme and his dam was Vampire. In 1899, he became only the eighth horse to have won the English Triple Crown Races. Shortly after this success though, in late 1899, the Duke of Westminster died and his stable, including Flying Fox, was put up for auction. Flying Fox was bought by Edmond Blanc for ?37,500 guineas and duly became the leading sire in France three times, with progeny including Ajax and Val d`Or.

A late Georgian emerald and diamond cluster ring, with an octagonal foil-backed emerald, rub set in a closed back setting, surrounded by two rows of rose cut diamonds, set in silver. Trifurcated shoulders, partially pierced shank. Graduated rose cut diamonds to a central spray of rose cut diamond set leaves, and blue Swiss cut sapphire buds to blade edge bars. Later rhodium plated CONDITION REPORT: This piece has been later rhodium plate, and is probably silver set, and backed in gold, underneath the rhodium.Settings appear secure.Clasp secure.

A line of graduated eight cut diamonds, grain set to the bezel, with a larger diamond grain set in a box setting at the `3` and `9`, with raised diamond set arches at the `12` and `6`. Bifurcated lugs to a diamond set line bracelet with a diamond set pierced box clasp. Hand engraved case sides and back. Case marked `London Made`, case Swiss movement.
