dating: Early 19th Century provenance: Manchester, Round, smoothbore, browned, turn-off, 8 mm cal barrels (missing parts and damages from rust). Brass breeches numbered from 4 to 6 and marks of the test bench, worked in one piece with the box-lock frame. Engraved with fine trophies and signed 'STYAN' and 'MANCHESTER', iron change lever for the three barrels on the left side, iron hammer (working mechanism) with secure lock at the back, trigger and trigger guard engraved with the Union Jack. Wooden butt with oval silver escutcheon on the back. For Thomas Styan see 'Der Neue Stöckel', vol. II, page 1236. length 15.8 cm.

Working mechanism, bridge and grip bands.In a wooden box lined in red velvet with a flask, a ball bottom and some accessories.Serial number '441xx', coeval on the cartridge rammer (abbreviated), on the barrel, on the cylinder, on the wedge screw (abbreviated), on the trigger guard and on the handle bands. In a wooden case lined in red velvet and provided with a flask, a bullet mold and some tools. length 24,7 cm.

In a wooden case with label featuring the inscription 'Auguste Francotte a Liege' inside the lid; purple fabric lining, complete with key, flask and some tools including the bullet mold length 29 cm.

He had no food, but drank rain water dripping from the leaves. He was rescued after spending four days and nights in the jungle. This operation is recorded in his log book.

(12)1 - The right lens has a small patch of blooming, but the optics are generally very clear and good. There is a patch of enamel missing to the back of the left upper tube. The rubber lens covers are intact but have cracks around the edges. 2 - The internal lenses are very dirty.
