REEL: A very rare HARDY XLM "JOCK SCOTT" Tournament Multiplying Reel, produced by Hardy for Tournament distance casting, with the felt pad adjuster and mechanism removed & with modified centrifugal governor system, 2-1/8" diameter end plates, Duralumin frame, twin reverse tapered black handles to offset nickel silver serpentine crank arm, rim mounted brass free spool lever, cross hatched thumb bar and correct ribbed alloy foot, backplate stamped "The H J S Reel" patent numbers and makers details, front plate stamped 39, interior stamped D W (Denys Ward).
