A Victorian toilet set in brass mounted rosewood box, the upper section fitted a variety of fourteen glass jars and boxes, each silver lid scroll-engraved and with monogrammed cartouche. The fall front fitted with an almost complete set of manicure and other tools, each with mother of pearl handle, and opening to reveal a drawer above a concealed jewellery tray. The lid originally fitted a mirror and with stationary pocket. London 1861. (See Illustration)
