Gilding to outer edge of lid slightly worn. Minor rubbing to the lid corner.Strong interior gilding no obvious sign of repairs.Light scratching throughout closes flush. one side 1mm gap at left. Hinge good working order.

Pair of silver cufflinks with lamb and trident design in cufflink box with letter signed 'Rita', a silver and green hardstone six panel link bracelet, bird ear clips etc. Rita Ferguson (Mrs Charles) was a silversmith based in Edinburgh, having a studio on York Place and then working from 214A Braid Road. Notably, she made the Edinburgh freedom of the city casket that was presented to Sir Winston Churchill. Provenance: by family descent.
