A George IV silver gilt snuff box, Charles Rawlings & William Summers, London 1830, rectangular engine turned, relief decorated to edges with acorns and leaves, rectangular plaque to lid engraved 'Conamur XVIII Hussars', engraved to inside 'To the officers XVIII Hussars from Captn D Burn 1876', 8cm wide, 2.5cm high, approximately 189g/Note: Captain D Burn joined the 18th Hussars in 1877 and retired in 1890 as Lieutenant-Colonel CONDITION REPORT: Overall appearance very good, there is a small dent to the back near the bottom edge, some residue of old label to interior, the gilding generally good although slightly worn to the raised oak leaves and acorns decoration.
