A silver plated and crocodile skin box, late 20th/ early 21st century, of rectangular form, the sides of reeded design, width 27 cm; together with a quantity of miscellaneous items to include a carved amethyst dagger, an American glass and gilt metal mounted table clock by New Haven, a Christofle Art Deco style clock modelled as cars, a gilt metal horse head ashtray, a spelter and marble model of a horse and jockey, with further boxes, (a lot).

Together with two 74b Daimler Buses in green (one with `Visco-Static` to one side, the other `Greyhound` to one side), both VG unboxed, and a Routemaster with `Dewar`s` on one side, P unboxed. (7)

Two Marklin tin-plate clockwork racing cars: consists of no.1098 `Silver Arrow` Mercedes-Benz W196R (VG, boxed slight damage to inside of box lid); no.1097 `Silver Arrow` Mercedes-Benz W154/38 (includes RN 28 sticker sheet, G/VG with some foam residue to top of car, boxed). These items were third and fourth in a series of clockwork vehicles manufactured by Marklin for sale in their factory museum in Germany. (2).

A collection of 19th c. medallions awarded to Sir Arthur and his wife, comprising: Silver Napoleon III Paris 1867 Exposition medallion, 37mm. diam.; silver Imperial Institute medallion, 1887, drilled at top centre, both contained in round Waterlow and Sons Ltd. cardboard box; a bronze Golden Jubilee 1887 medallion, 45 mm. diam. Thomas Henry Goodwin Newton, Sheriff County of Warwick; a bronze Colonial and Indian exhibition, London, 1886 medallion. 52 mm. diam.; a silver Chancellor of Cambridge medallion, (1862), 45mm. diam. Gulielmus Cavendish Devonia Dux [the Duke of Devonshire was Chancellor of the University]; a large bronze medallion, 1862 International Exhibition prize medal. Britannia seated obverse with female figures. 76mm. diam. Named on the rim, Mrs. Hodgson Class IV; a bronze New South Wales medallion, 1862 to the Prize Exhibitors, designed by W. Kullrich, with Ceres obverse, and the reverse with kneeling female figure at the feet of Britannia, wool bales and a merchant ship. 76 mm. diam. Named to A. Hodgson "Iron Ores"; a bronze French Exposition, 1878 medallion. The obverse figures include Marianne and Mercury, the reverse with angels unfurling a scroll. Inside the case reads, "Medaille Commemorative Offerte pour Services Rendus Arthur Hodgson Esq., C.M.G. Commissionaire de Queensland"; Primrose League medal, brass and enamel on ribbon (damaged), "Imperium et Libertas". Mostly cased. (9) See illustration.
