A 19th century mahogany veneered tea caddy of sarcophagus form with satinwood inlaid escutcheon and edges, with four brass scroll decorated legs, the hinged lid enclosing two containers with covers, the brass lock stamped R.C&S, 23 x 12.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are a few areas to the lid where the veneer is lacking, one corner is missing the inlaid edges. The feet are a bit misshapen, one is slightly bent. There are a few slits to the veneer on both covers and inside of the box has been painted with silver coloured paint. Stringing missing from back right of lid.
