WW2 German Cross (Deutsche Kreuz) in Silver with the Original Case of Issue by C F Zimmermann Pforzheim, superb example of a silver grade issue of the Order of the German Cross. Retains nearly all of its original frosted finish to the silver wreath and the black enamel swastika remains in perfect un-damaged condition. Four rivets to the reverse of the award. Complete with its original pin and catch fixing. Underside of the pin is stamped “20” for the maker C F Zimmermann, one of the most prestigious makers of this award. The order is housed in its original large leatherette box of issue with band around the top edge in a silvery gold colour, possibly tarnished silver. Some small scuffs to the box but generally a superb example of a very desirable award. This lot was brought home from Germany in 1945 by the current vendors father who was serving with the British army during WW2.
WW2 German Luftwaffe Observers Qualification Badge by F W Assmann & Sohne in Original Box of Issue, good example of a mid war quality Luftwaffe observers qualification badge retaining much of the silver wash finish to the wreath. Zinc central eagle with F W Assmann & Sohne makers mark to the reverse. Complete with the pin and catch fixing to the reverse. Award is housed in its original case of issue with remains of the gilt tooled “Beobachterabz” to the top. Lining to the interior of the box is typical for the construction and period of this award. Some scuffs to the blue leatherette covering but generally still a good cased example.
Indian Azad Hind Neck Order in Original Case of Issue by Rudolf Souval Wien, fine example of the silver gilt and enamel neck order with swords. Complete with its length of original ribbon with neck ties in the Indian national colours. Reverse of the award has “RUDOLF SOUVAL WIEN VII” makers mark. Housed in the original cream leatherette box with purple velvet lining to the interior and Rudolf Souval makers details to the interior lid. Gilt tooled tiger and crossed swords to the lid of the case. Generally remains in excellent overall condition.
