MONTEGRAPPA THE DRAGON FOUNTAIN PEN.Black resin barrel with the shape of a dragon in 975 sterling silver, two red rubies.Limited edition 1179/1912.Nib F, in 925 sterling silver with screw cap.No box.Measurements: 14.20 cm in length, 24.6 mm. in diameter.Made of a beautiful anthracite grey celluloid, both the cap and the barrel, which are covered with solid 925 sterling silver sleeves, carved in relief, in which a menacing dragon meanders. All the parts that are not the mythical animal are cut out, so that through these holes we can appreciate the shine and colour of the celluloid.On the cap, the end of the tail of this scaly being forms the clip and below it, we can see engraved "MONTEGRAPPA"; in the eyes are set two rubies that give it a hypnotic gaze.On the barrel we find a silver button, located at the end of the butt, where the piece number is engraved on the total of the edition; the eyes of the dragon are again dressed by two rubies and on a silver ring, located on the mouthpiece, is engraved "MONTEGRAPPA"; the nib is the usual one of the brand, 18K gold, The nib is the brand's customary 18K gold two-tone platinum nib, except for the decorative ribbing, which retains the colour of the gold.It went on sale in 1995, with a print run of 1912 copies.

It has a six-sided body in rhodium-plated sterling silver. Its design consists of typical Gothic elements, such as rose windows, stained-glass windows, pointed arches, fleur-de-lis and is very colourful. Only 1888 units were produced in allusion to the first Universal Exhibition in Barcelona, which took place that year.Hexagonal barrel made of silver with lacquer decorations in the form of a mosaic and chiselled decorations. On the crown we find a silver button, where we can read: "ANCORA - ITALIA", the serial number on the total manufactured and "GAUDÍ 150º", and on the clip we can see an anchor engraved.Fine 18 Kts. white gold nib. It was born I think in 1919 and its founder was called Giuseppe Zanini.This firm was reborn from the ashes by a guy called Giovanni Santini, in 1999; and they started with the creation of several very luxurious models: three demonstrator pens called Fuego (red), Agua (green) and Cielo (blue), a commemorative edition called 80th Anniversary, made in red or orange ebonite, black and transparent, with retractable nib.The firm must have restarted with these pieces; more came out later. Now, it is dedicated to very elaborate pieces, full of decoration or more simple depending on the series or collection.
