Waggett , a collection of WW II Commando militaria formerly belonging to Major Kenyon Waggett Middlesex Regiment, 12 and 5 Commando to include a a 1st pattern Fairbairn-Sykes commando fighting knife, the 16.6cm steel double edged blade marked to the forte The F-S Fighting Knife with Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd London to the opposing side, having a shaped cross guard and typical diamond chequered grip, housed in the original brown leather and brass mounted sheath, 30cm, together with a 2nd pattern Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife, having an unmarked blade with straight cross guard and lacking sheath, a military kukri, the blade of typical curved form stamped HW? 45, having a two piece riveted grip and housed in a leather sheath with War department mark and dated 1945, 43cm, a photograph of Capt Waggett with Lord Louis Mountbatten at Ta Ku Ling Frontier Outpost on the Chinese Border, a Special Forces cloth formation sign, an Eastern silver table cigarette box with presentation inscription " To Major "Ken" Waggett from the Officer's of 1/5 Commando 1942-1946" and various ephemera to include Commando Service certificate etc. Also included in the lot are a WW I miniature 1914 Mons Star with clasp, British War and Victory medals, a pair of WW I binoculars in a brown leather case and a leather ammunition pouch, these items were given to Ken by his late father.
An 18th Century 'Queen Anne' Flintlock Pocket Pistol by Ward & Steele, the 7cm steel turn-off cannon barrel with London proof marks, signed and leaf engraved box lock, the walnut slab butt inlaid with silver wire tendrils, 20cm. Action works, holds at full and half cock. Grey patching and wear to metalwork. Slight bruising to butt.
A Pair of 18th Century 'Queen Anne' Silver Mounted 54 Bore Flintlock Pocket Pistols by Joyner of London, each with 7cm three stage turn-off cannon barrel with Tower proof marks, the box lock engraved JOYNER and LONDON within foliate ribbon scrolls, the walnut bag butt inlaid with silver wire tendrils and with silver grotesque mask pommel with hallmarks for Birmingham 1776, 19cm . Actions work, hold at full and half cock. Silver wire lifting slightly in places, particularly on one which has a fine crack to the left side of the grip behind the lock. Black patching to steel work.

A Five Inch Gauge Live Steam Model of The French 0-6-0 ''Bourbonnais'' Type Steam Locomotive and Four Wheel Tender- Silver soldered boiler, with pressure gauge, water sight etc. Chassis with Stephenson's type valve gear to outside cylinders. The tender fitted with hand operated water feed pump, brake, tool box etc- model finished overall in P.L.M green with fine rivet work and steps to cab and tender. There are areas of poor finish to paint work and corrosion noted: the locomotive appears to be unfired and has what seems to be a full set of build plans- there is no boiler certificate. Overall length; locomotive 29 inch- tender 23 inch. PLM railway (Paris, Lyon, Mediterranean) was created 1858/1862- the Bourbonnais was introduced in 1854 and served for some 90 years with ongoing improvements.

The chassis with twin outside cylinders, Walschaerts valve gear, safety valve, whistle, steps to cab, etc. The Model finished in Great Western green/black livery with R.No. 4513. There is no build history or plans, but it has a quality assurance document and boiler certificate (expired 09/2012). Overall dimension 34 x 10 x 15 inch high, supplied with display stand and storage transport wooden box.
