A George II mulberry and line inlaid knife box, circa 1750, the sloped and hinged top centred by a inlaid silver scrolling crest, above the faceted front, flanked by side carrying handles, 36cm high, 30cm wide, 26cm deep Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use.Old chips and splits, various old losses. Some losses disguised by old filler. Some old repairs, some old repairs and replacements. There are old worm holes throughout. None appears to cause sizeable losses but there are holes and small fragmentary losses throughout. The screws that are present to the hinges of the lid are later replacements. Some of the screws are lacking. They key escutcheon is probably a replacement, The lock appears original and is a lever lock that locks the lid shut as it is closed. Original fittings to the interior have been previously removed and the interior later re-lined with fabric throughout. The box has previously had feet fitted that are now lacking. (there is a hole at each corner of the base) The engraved metal inset crest should be referred to as silver coloured metal at this stage as has not been tested and is not hallmarked.Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. A George IV silver gilt snuff box, by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1827, engine turned and with guilloche engraving, 72 mm x 44 mm x 17 mm, 78 grams (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The snuffbox is in generally very good condition. There are no issues with the hinge and the lid closes as it should. There are no corner dents to the main body. The interior is in extremely good order also with no significant tarnishing.
An early 20th century cat-form silver gilt minaudiθre, the rectangular box realistically chased with a seated long-haired cat to the hinged cover, with ruby eyes, ruby necklace with ruby bow which extends to the reverse where the ruby necklace can just be seen, the tail and left ear extend past the perimeter of the box with two centred hinged inner compartments to the cover, with a hinged mirror and notepad to the base with a sprung trefoil clasp, cabochon ruby-set thumbpiece and with oval link chain handle, 8.3cm high

A George III silver vinaigrette of oval form, the cover engraved with symbols of war including lances and shield, together with Dove of Peace, the underside with symbols of agriculture including sheaf of barley, pitchfork, scythe, etc, opening to reveal a gilt-washed interior, the pierced grille decorated with flags and plumed helmet on a pedestal (by Thomas Wilkes Barker, London 1801), 3.3 cm x 2.9 cm x 1.2 cm, 0.43 oz CONDITION REPORTS Hinges open and close correctly to the box and the grille. There do not appear to have been any repairs to the hinges or to the box or grille. There does not appear to be "excessive" wear to the surfaces though there are signs of minor surface scratching conducive with age and use. The base has indentation to the centre which may or may not have been caused by the engraving and there is some minor denting. The interior has two small scratches to the right hand side of the border of the grille. See images for further detail.
