Gulielmus Cavendish Devonia Dux [the Duke of Devonshire was Chancellor of the University]; a large bronze medallion, 1862 International Exhibition prize medal. Britannia seated obverse with female figures. 76mm. diam. Named on the rim, Mrs. Hodgson Class IV; a bronze New South Wales medallion, 1862 to the Prize Exhibitors, designed by W. Kullrich, with Ceres obverse, and the reverse with kneeling female figure at the feet of Britannia, wool bales and a merchant ship. 76 mm. diam. Named to A. Hodgson "Iron Ores"; a bronze French Exposition, 1878 medallion. The obverse figures include Marianne and Mercury, the reverse with angels unfurling a scroll. Inside the case reads, "Medaille Commemorative Offerte pour Services Rendus Arthur Hodgson Esq., C.M.G.
