A set of six early twentieth century silver teaspoons, each with classical engraved stems and Trefid style terminals with initial engraving. Hallmarked John Sanderson Sheffield 1915. Fitted in an associated box. Gross weight 3.46 ozt (107 grams). Condition: The set of teaspoons and sugar nips, display general scratches, marks and tarnishing, but overall appear in good condition. The hallmarks are clear and legible. As mentioned in the description the box is associated, although not a bad fit, the sugar tongs are a little shorter than the space.
Edwardian cased set of six silver teaspoons, each with rope twist stems leading to double struck hollow terminals. Hallmarked William Devenport Birmingham 1904. Gross weight 37 grams. Condition: The spoons display wear commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. The bowls possibly previously gilded. The hallmarks are clear and legible. The box is at fault and would require the hinges being replaced or perhaps a complete replacement box.
A modern silver circular trinket box, the lid embossed with two birds amongst foliate scrolls, hallmarked W I Broadway & Co., Birmingham 1981; together with a small circular plain silver dish, hallmarked Richard Comyns, London 1991. Total silver weight 1.89 ozt (58.95 grams). (2). Condition: Trinket box-General surface marks and scratches. There is a visible dent to the centre of the base. Hallmarks and makers marks slightly rubbed but still clear. Dish-General surface marks and scratches. Some of these scratches are deeper and more visible, especially around the rim and to the underside. Hallmarks and makers marks are very clear.
A 1930`s silver mounted three piece dressing table set of brushes with engine turned and banded decoration, matching comb mount and part box with gilt interior. Hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd, Birmingham 1933. Condition: The pieces are in a fair condition, with some tarnishing in places, also general wear and tear scratches and some small dints. There are some nicks to the edges and one of the brushes has small section of little scratches to one end. The silver comb mount is slightly misshapen all the way along. And there is an item that seems to be part of a small possible pill box with a gilt interior, the interior is quite bright with small spots of tarnishing and slightly rubbed top edges.

A 1920`s silver card case of rectangular curved and hinged form, hallmarked Birmingham 1924. Together with a small silver pill box, hallmarked Birmingham 1919, Edwardian glove stretchers with silver handles, a silver plated notepad cover, a silver plated pair of sugar nips and a silver teaspoon. A modern silver pill box of rectangular form with engine turned decoration, opening to reveal a gilt interior. Hallmarked Birmingham 1982 with makers mark PJD, length measures 36 mm. Together with a further modern pill box of square form with engraved acanthus leaf decoration to the lid. Stamped to the base with STERLING 925 and London import marks dated 1979. Gross weight 43 grams. (2). Condition: The two modern pill boxes have general light surface wear and tear scratches. The engine turned pill box is in a better condition out of the two, the lid closes flush, the hidden hinge is in good working order, there are some areas of tarnishing. The gilt interior is in a very good condition. There are corresponding hallmarks to the lid and main body, both are clear and legible. The square pill has some small patches of tarnishing, the hinge is in good working order, the lid does not close quite flush. There are some numbers lightly scratched to the inside of the box. The engraved decoration shows good detail.
A modern silver pill box of hinged rectangular form, engine turned decoration and gilt interior. Hallmarked D. Bros Birmingham 1970. Measuring 35 mm by 22 mm, weight 1.8 grams. Condition: The pill box is in good overall condition, it does display general scratches, marks and tarnishing. Discolouration visible to the gilt interior. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
George III circular hinged embossed silver box, the body with a textured and diaper rim with acanthus and scroll border, the front with a seated gentleman and the base with vacant cartouche and gilt interior. The base only hallmarked London 1808 with the makers mark TB. Diameter measuring 55 mm, weight 38 grams. Condition: The box is quite badly tarnished and there are general surface marks, scratches and wear commensurate with the age of the item. These scratches are more noticeable on the underside and to the gilded interior. There does appear to be some wear to the embossed decoration, in particular to the seated man, otherwise it is generally okay. The hinged lid and clasp are working well so that it closes tightly, however there is a slight gap when closed. The hallmarks are rubbed, mainly the date letter, however they are still legible.
George III silver dual snuff box and vinaigrette of rectangular form with applied vacant cartouche. Hallmarked Matthew Linwood Birmingham 1808. Length measuring 63 mm, weight 35 grams. Condition: The dual snuff box and vinaigrette displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing. There are numerous areas of wear, also with dints and bumps. Numerous splits to the silver. The hinges allow sideways movement. The interiors have been previously gilded this has worn and become discoloured. The hallmarks to the interior of the lid are a little distorted but clearly legible.
Edwardian silver vesta case of rectangular hinged form with floral scroll piercing and scalloped edge, hallmarked William Oliver Birmingham 1904, measuring 6 cm by 4 cm. Together with a small circular silver box the lid surmounted with a Victorian coin and opening to reveal a gilt interior, hallmarked Birmingham 1924, diameter measuring 53 mm. Gross combined weight 76 grams. (2). Condition: Vesta case has general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and usage. The hinged lid does not shut tightly so that there is a small gap when closed. There is some slight rubbing to the engraved decoration but it is still bright. Full hallmarks very clear, further date letter and standard mark to interior of lid, also clear.The circular box is in similar general condition. The coin on the lid is quite rubbed and worn so that it is not possible to read all the writing. Some dents to the base and also some marks to the gilded interior. Hallmarks rubbed but legible.
Early nineteenth century French silver gilt vinaigrette of rectangular hinged form, scroll pierced and engraved grill, stamped guarantee mark, encased within a leather hinged box. The vinaigrette measuring 16 mm by 22mm, the box measuring 36.5 mm by 27 mm. Condition: The vinaigrette appears in good condition, the engraved decoration to the case appears sharp. The vinaigrette has been gilded this has worn to the outer and particularly to corners, suspension and ring and areas of contact. There are some small areas of dscolouration. The French guarantee mark, small but legible. the outer leather case is a little large and likely to be associated to the vinaigrette.
A selection of four Victorian and later HM silver vesta cases, together with a silver plated example, a silver plated match box holder, a late Victorian silver mounted pencil and a metal filigree cigarette case. (8). Condition: There is some variance in the condition of the items within the lot, however each displays noticeable wear with scratches, marks, dints and tarnishing. More noticeable dents to one vesta case. The silver plated vesta and match case would benefit from re-plating. The metal filigree cigarette case appears dull and the two sides do not sit flush. Overall the hallmars to the silver items are clear and legible.
