Pinches, Brittania holding cadecus and key opening the doors to the exhibition, lamb and helmet at feet, rev. with date on tablet, edge name (E. Schering), 6.3cm dia., in the original fire damaged maroon case of issue by ‘John Pinches, 27 Oxendon Street, London’, box 9.5cm sq. A flat section hinged bangle, concealed box clasp and safety chain. Tested as approximately 15ct gold, 18ct gold and silver. Interior dimensions 55 x 47mm, 13.91gCondition report: The gem set scrolls are probably a later addition. Historic repair to the mid point of the top half. One hundred and thirty-three pearls, 1.6 to 6.8mm in size, strung knotted to a Continental single row boat-shaped safety clasp, with a row of graduated circular mixed cut emeralds and cushion-shaped old Swiss cut diamonds, grain set to milligrain box collets, with a rose cut diamond milligrain set in a graduated collet at each end, white and backed in gold, marked 585. Tested as approximately 14ct yellow gold and 18ct white gold. 542mm long approximately, 11.87g. Accompanied by a laboratory report from GCS, no. 5775-2854, dated 13/08/2015: stated as natural pearls - saltwater x2 cultured pearls at 59 and 76.Colour: cream.Lustre: good, to very goodCondition report: Damage to the nacre of the third pearl from the centre.Round to semi-round.Some of the smaller pearls are barrel-shaped.Cream to silver/grey.Clasp secure.

A series of diamond set cross or kiss links between, composed of graduated brilliant cut diamonds, all claw set, with a diamond cluster set box clasp, with a fold-down safety catch to the underside.
