London proofed, octagonal one piece barrels, the top flats engraved with the makers legend ' R. BURNAND / NEWCASTLE ON TYNE' and with a 6 in. triangular spring bayonet, the barrels with under-rib holding a stirrup hinged and swivelling ramrod, acanthus scroll engraved box-lock action with side hammers engraved to match, one piece finely chequered walnut grips with vacant rectangular silver escutcheon, oval stepped butt-cap the trap lid engraved with a flower's head, much original finish, contained in its correct blue baize lined and partitioned case, the lid with the trade label of Richard Burnand of 111 Pilgrim St. Newcastle on Tyne, accessories include pincer mould, flask, cleaning rod and turnscrew, the case with some minor wear to lining.
