On an after market nylon strap. Case no. 20253 148. Serial no. 5735058. Calibre no. 37.9. No box or papersCondition report: The watch is accompanied by the copy of an email from Longines, dated 26/07/2011.It confirms the wristwatch was in metal with a leather band. Longines movement, calibre 37.9. The watch was invoiced to Messrs Oster Setzer in Milan, Longines agents in Italy on 09/01/1939.Our own research suggests this was a prototype produced in early 1939, from conversions of pocket watches to strap/wristwatches.Light surface marks to the case.More at the opening lip.The lugs are a little more crude, consistent with this being the transition from open faced pocket watch to wristwatch.Light surface wear to the hinged back.Scratches to inside case at cuvette, more at lip. A bit chewed.

A Victorian pink and white paste swag and fringe necklace,of Georgian style. A centrepiece composed of circular and cushion cut pink paste in cut down collets, to open scrolling frames, grain set with old eight cut white paste. Swags of paste flower head and lozenge-shaped clusters between, to a central paste cluster fringe with a pink pear-shaped pendant drop. Dome back collets to the pink paste, closed back to the white paste, with a paste set concealed box clasp, with yellow tongue and push piece. Tested as silver. Centrepiece 135 x 72mm, 41.98gCondition report: Surface facet edge wear to the paste gemstones under 10X magnification.A little dirty, the mounts are dull and would benefit from specialist cleaning.Clasp secure.

A Victorian silver gilt matched necklace and bracelet, with the necklace composed of a series of decorated domed links between pairs of double heart pierced plaques, with a concealed box clasp, 363mm long, 53.72g,together with a matched bracelet, 195mm long, 22.20g (2)Condition report: The bracelet with foliate domed links as opposed to Etruscan style decorated ones in the necklace.They are also dome backed as opposed to the open backed ones of the necklace.The bracelet has a paler colour than the necklace, the gilding is more worn.The necklace has wear and damage to the domed caps at the top of the dome links.Clasps secure.

Meier Hamburg Früher Altona 2465 , with gold main and blued secondary hands, fusee movement with Earnshaw’s escapement, standard balance with plain steel helical balance spring, spotted plates, contained within gimbal-mounted brass bowl stamped in the bottom 5715 , the reverse with German national symbol 1939-1945 and M948 by winding hole, contained within two-tier glazed box with tipsy key and locking arm, with silver plate to front engraved with the naval crown and inscribed H.M.S. Royal Rupert Naval Party 1735 Wilhelmshaven, Germany, April 1945, approximately -- 7in. (17.5cm.) square Provenance : Lt. Sinclair and thence by descent.
