A good golfing silver cigarette case by J.C. Vickery, Birmingham 1914, enamelled with a humorous scene entitled "The 19th Hole", it shows four enthusiastic golfers striding to the entrance of the club house, there stands a maid with a tray, on it a bottle, glasses and a soda syphon. Morocco bound presentation box. (See illustration).

Note: Christies sold an egg which was very similar, Lot 5, 1st December 2004 "Selected Silver and Plate", South Kensington, their's was dated 1885 but otherwise, like ours, apparently unmarked.
