In their original octagonal red box with Pope Benedict XV's gold coat of arms. Covered with silk with the stamp 'TANFANI & BERTARELLI PIAZZA DELLA MINERVA ROMA'. Conferred to Count Riccardo Ceccopieri (1868-1963). dimensions circa 26 x 31 cm.

dating: Period (1603-1867) provenance: Japan, Copper-coloured metal, with a fine ornament in relief at the front side depicting a fly flap, made of silver with fine grooves to imitate the bristles. Finished, lacquer-like hily, golden pommel. High quality decoration despite its apparently simple design, browned at the rear side and with the inscription 'Hidechika' in kanji. Kept in kiri-box. Complete with Tokubetsu Kichu certificate from NBTHK (from 2011). The saihai was one of the typical command insignia of the bushi, of Buddhist derivation. length 9,8 cm.

The kashira with a beautiful effigy of Fukurokujo in relief (God of knowledge and long life), with gilded elements. Kept in a kiri-box. height 3,7 - 3,3 cm.

The fuchi decorated in relief with the effigy of a paulownia tree, enriched with golden flowers and silver-plated leaves. The kashira with a bottom worked en suite and an elegant effigy of a partially gilded cock in relief. Not signed. Opening for the blade 2.6 cm. Epoch: probably late Edo, 19th century. Preserved in kiri-box. height 34 - 37 mm.
