William Comyns & Sons - A rare pair of early 20th Century Edwardian hallmarked silver and leather desk stationary items having hallmarked silver Baroque influenced mounts depicting Bacchanalian Cherubs with scrolled leaves. Comprises a desk blotter and a stationary box. Both beautiful examples. Hallmarked for London 1910. Measures: 20cm x 30cm x 14cm.
An outstanding 19th Century Irish antique coromandel and brass bound vanity box bearing a label for 'Mansfield's Manufactory Fancy Repository, 90 Grafton St. Dublin'. The vanity box having brass bound borders with a central inlaid brass cartouche atop the hinged lid opening to reveal a fully appointed interior. The interior being burgundy leather and velvet lined with a series of cut clear glass scent bottles, vanity bottles and inkwells with all having heavy hallmarked silver tops with button hook, file, sissorces etc. The lid interior having sprung locked fold-down and removable mirror with all removables being within fitted lift out sections. Bramah brass locks to the top section over a single jewellery drawer below retaining the original leather cover. Twin inset brass campaign handles to the exterior. Silver content hallmarked for London date letter P 1850, makers mark for Charles Boyton. Measures 18cm x 30cm x 23cm.
