John Gelson Willetts was commissioned Lieutenant, Royal Army Service Corps, Regular Army Reserve of Officers, on 11 April 1923, and was advanced War substantive Captain and temporary Major on 13 November 1941. Coy.’, with portrait photograph of recipient in uniform, named enclosure for M.M. and other ephemera, generally very fine (4) £400-£500 --- M.M. London Gazette 20 August 1919. Arthur Beecroft was born in Stonham, Aspal, Suffolk in August 1888. He emigrated to Canada, was employed as a chauffeur and mechanic, and resided at 86 Seaton Street, Toronto, Ontario. Beecroft served during the Great War with the 1st Canadian Automobile Machine Gun Brigade on the Western Front (entitled to Silver War Badge).
