A Good Pair of Early 19th Century Flintlock Pocket Pistols by Southall, London, each with 3.5cm reeded steel turn-off barrel, Birmingham proof marks, the brass cylindrical box lock signed and engraved with martial trophies, with slide safety and concealed trigger, the chequered walnut bag butt with silver escutcheon and lion mask pommel, 15cm, contained in a mahogany case, the hinged cover with brass swan neck handle, enclosing a green baize lined interior fitted with accessories of a steel wad punch, copper pistol flask and box wood box containing lead balls. Actions work, holding at full and half cock. Some black patching and pitting to the barrels. One pistol has a fine crack and a small chip to the butt
